Concert Hall
It is the main hall of Bucheon Art Center built into facilities as good as a world class concert hall for classical music, equipped with a pipe organ from Casavant Freres Company made in Canada comprised of 4,576 pipes and 63 stops, a four-tier keyboard and 2 units of playing console, coupled with the scale of 1,445 seats.
By combining the shape of shoe box in a rectangular structure and the shape of vineyard in which audience and performers can engage with each other more closely, it was designed to raise satisfaction of appreciation of audience as well as effective response to sound of performance. Minute sound modification simultaneously utilizing acoustic reflectors moving up and down installed on the ceiling and banner curtains installed on the wall can realize reverberation time up to 2.11 seconds when fully seated. In addition, for effective sound insulation, separation of structure of performance space and double bottom, double wall and double roof were applied, and acoustic absorptivity was considered with the greatest care by installing Kotobuki chairs.
